Clothing

Traditional African styles and patterns have inspired the designs of these clothes. T Shirts, African shirts, Madiba shirts and kaftans are available.  Also fez hats.  High quality cotton fabrics are generally used, but materials to suit customer needs can be obtained. 

Bags and cushions.

Made of strong cotton, these shopping, sling and handbags, rucksacks and cushion covers are decorated with either printed of appliquéd designs. 

Kuba Raffia cloth

For many centuries the Kuba people of the Congo have woven cloth from the fronds of the Raffia Palm. 27-inch squares are woven on traditional looms and then combined to form skirts.

Although some raffia cloth is now woven for export, it is generally intended for own use, and most of the available cloth is therefore used.

Recently it has become popular to use Kuba cloth for wall hangings or cushion covers. As no two pieces of this traditional cloth are identical, we can only supply within a general pattern style, but can e-mail pictures of individual pieces.
